Meet the Geobit team at AGU Fall Meeting 2016

Meet the Geobit team at AGU Fall Meeting 2016

With approximately 24,000 attendees in 2015, AGU’s Fall Meeting is the largest Earth and Space science meeting in the world. Fall Meeting sessions are held at the Moscone Convention Center, San Francisco California, USA.

As a regular participant in this event, GEOBIT will be attending AGU Fall Meeting (2016, December 12 – 16). Whether you are an existing GEOBIT customer or an oil & gas industry professional, we would very much like to meet you at the show. Our highly experienced team consisting of management, sales and operations personnel are keen to discuss business opportunities and share our latest product and service innovations with you.

We will be exhibiting at Booth #613 at the Moscone Convention Center, 747 Howard St, San Francisco, CA 94103. If you would like to set up a meeting, please contact us at [email protected]. We are looking forward to seeing you at AGU Fall Meeting 2016!

Structural monitoring system with automatic user alert

Structural monitoring system with automatic user alert

Geobit installs advanced multi-channel structural monitoring system with automatic user alert. The system acquires data from all the channels at 200sps per channel continuously and processes them in real time. The vibration level is calculated in DIN4150 format and if the level exceeds the standard limit, the user receives alert sms and e-mail.

Ocean Bottom Seismometer (OBS) 32bit digitizer

Ocean Bottom Seismometer (OBS) 32bit digitizer

GEObit finishes the design of our NEW OBS digitizer recorder. It supports four analog channels, three of them connected with seismometer electronics and the fourth with a variable gain hydrophone. The digitizer is based in our 32bit ADC while the geophone electronics are based in your force-balance technology providing a 10sec-50Hz three axis sensor. The sampling rate is 100 to 1000sps for all channels. Data are recorded into microSD card which can be read via ordinary USB port therefore there is no need to open the OBC sphere for data retrieval. The OBS electronics supports integrated magnetic compass recording the data directly to the logfile. Power consumption is very low, only 0.6W and time drift is only 1msec for 100 days recording.

Successful site noise test for induced seismicity project

Successful site noise test for induced seismicity project

Geobit performed a successful site noise test for site noise characterization. The scope of the test was to identify and characterize all type on site noises (ground noise, possible interference noise tec.) that can be present into the seismic signal. The test was performed into testing well with 100m depth, and the sensor was placed in 30m steps for 24h at each position. Our C100/SRi32 sensor/recorder was used and a full detailed noise analysis was performed.
