Induced Seismicity Monitoring

Case studies

Geobit, October 2018

1. Introduction

GEObit supplied ISTI USA [1] with five (5) C100/SRi32S[2] sensor/datalogger units, in order to be used for induced seismicity monitoring in USA. The network and the customer are confidential, therefore only limited information can be posted here.

2. Seismic Network

Five seismic stations were installed in the field, and they are still in operation. The stations are used for the induced seismicity monitoring of an oil-field.

3. Installations

The seismic stations are getting power from a single solar panel. Overall power consumption is very low thus allowing the use of only one solar panel which is enough to power the seismic equipment and the GSM router.
