Volcano Monitoring in Nisyros Greece

In September 2023 GEObit instruments deployed several seismic stations for the Nisyros Volcano monitoring. The stations transmitting in real time over the 2G/4G GSM network. All stations are solar powered. The stations are using wide-band borehole seismometer and compact 24bit digitizer.

Case Study: Induced Seismicity Monitoring – May 2021

GEObit-instruments installed several C100/GEOthree [1] sensor/datalogger units, for an induced seismicity monitoring project. The network and the customer are confidential, therefore only limited information can be posted here.

Case Study: Earthquake Early Warning System

Early warning systems are used to alert users a few seconds before an strong earthquake hits the protected area. The system is able to detect the primary p-waves of an earthquake and produce am alarm prior s-waves arrival. The system can be used to switch off critical facilities or machines and alert people for upcoming earthquakes.

Case Study: Low Frequency Passive Survey for Hydrocarbon Exploration (LFPS Studies)

GEObit-instruments supplied ONGC India, Geophysics Dept. with thirty units (30) GEOtiny20 seismometers [1] to be used for LFPS survey in the oil & gas sector. The scope of work involves supply, installation/commissioning, familiarization training and acceptance of thirty numbers of sensors with digitizer required for broadband seismic survey in different terrains including plains, hills, jungles, desert, dry area etc. Our local distributor Pan-India Consultants [2] along with GEObit-instruments engineers worked both in the office and in the field for training and installation of the thirty seismometers.
